Cozy home in a peaceful setting
Even though this listing is located in the (small) town of Sugarcreek, you will think you’re in the Amish countryside when you hear a buggy clip-clopping down the street. The house was immaculate and well-suited for our group of 6. We loved the backyard and appreciated all the extra touches that were available—like coffee, tea, and ample kitchen cookware. Everything we needed to easily prepare meals was on hand.
Matt was easy to communicate with and we’d recommend this listing to anyone looking for a relaxing spot in Ohio’s Amish country.
The "Brother's" plus family get together
The house was clean and kitchen was well stocked. I brought a card table and chairs because the kitchen table only seated 8 and there was 11 of us. With my chairs we were able to fit all 11 of us around the kitchen table so that worked out great.
Great home base for a trip to Amish country
This house is extremely clean and well-equipped with most anything you would need. The linens are ahhh-mazing and the beds are comfy. It is on a quiet street, and the front porch is delightful. The owner is fantastic with communication and making sure everything is satisfactory. I will stay again if I have the chance.
Good location, well-stocked home.
We had five ladies for a girls' weekend (there were originally supposed to be 7 of us, and it had been hard to find an affordable property that could fit all 7 of us.) This home had everything we needed (except for a corkscrew/wine opener) for a comfortable stay. The yard was gorgeous, the street/neighborhood was quiet, and the home was impeccably clean. We were able to walk to the shops/restaurants in downtown Sugarcreek. A grocery store was a short 3-minute drive away. It might be worthwhile to note that the main-floor bathroom is connected to the main-floor bedroom, and the other bathroom is in the basement. So for those in the upstairs three bedrooms, if you have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, and you don't want to disturb those in the main-floor bedroom, you have to go all the way down to the basement.
Our trip was exactly what we hoped it would be. We got to experience the local community really well and the place served as a nice home base between local stops, and time with family in the area. My only reservation for anyone considering this property would be that we had 7 people and had the right amount of room. I think it technically sleeps 12 which would be tight if that is what you were trying to do.
It's also worth mentioning that the place is stocked really well. It had the feeling that it was a friend's vacation property that you were using with how it was stocked and the items available (bikes, plenty of towels, extra solo cups, etc.)
Thanks Matt for having a great place to stay!
