Lovely Cottage, good located
The description (and especially the pictures) give a good description of the cottage. It has a well equipped kitchen, a clean and modern bath, a cosy living room and a spacious conservatory. The masters bedroom is also spacious, the childrens bedroom is quite small (and has only a small window to open). The cottage was well cleaned and everything worked properly. The conservatory gets (naturally...) very hot if it is sunny. Small downpoint: the windows in the conservatory are nearly opaque. If you are a film-junkie, you will find a lot of DVDs (we didn't watch a single one...). Be careful: as usual in such older buildings the staircase is small and steep.
The cottage is well located: to Stratford it's only roundabout 10 Miles, and a lot of National Trust properties are relative close by, as the Cotswolds (both by car! the public transport is, well...). Alderminster itself is a small village with a typical church, but no supermarket. (The next bigger ones are in Stratford.)
Alltogether we enjoyed our two-week-family-stay and can it recommend!
Thank you for your review.
Very comfortable and close to Stratford and the Cotswolds.
Great place to stay. Only issue was the very narrow and steep stairs which meant we could not take our suitcases up there.
My husband, brother and I just recently spent 6 days at Rose Cottage. Everything about it was just as I imagined it when I booked our stay. Alderminister is a small community conveniently located in the Cotswolds. We made daily excursions in all directions seeing the many sights the area offers. The cottage itself is charming and comfortable and offered all the amenities we needed during our stay. One gem we discovered the first day of our stay was a local bakery called "Knead It". Not only was their bread and other baked goods delicious, the couple that own and operate the bakery were delightful. Enjoying their amazing baked goods and visiting with them was a highlight of our stay in the area! 'Sourdough Saturday', the only day they make sourdough bread, is a must! We highly recommend this property!
Well equipped cottage. Peaceful. Good location for visiting National Trust properties in the area. Also enjoyed Batsford Arboretum. Bourton in Water very touristy and avoid if you don't like crowds
Thank you for your review, we are indeed lucky to have so many National Trust properties within very easy reach.
Loved this cottage the conservatory is sooooo warm when the sun is out you could just fall asleep on the comfy sofa!!! would definately recommend and will be returning. Had some lovely meals in different country pubs. Very relaxing.
Many thanks for your review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay. The conservatory is a relaxing place glad you had time to enjoy it.
Snug, comfortable and well equipped.
A comfortable, traditional cottage well placed for exploring the beautiful area. Particularly lovely in the spring sunshine with plenty to explore in town or countryside.
Thank you for your review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay and the weather was so kind. Our location is ideal for both town and country interest.
